A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Elizabeth City Middle School!

It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of ECMS and return to a school community that has played an important role in my own leadership journey. I am a proud educator with more than 15 years of experience serving students, families, and communities as a teacher, academy coach, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to one belief: every student deserves access to opportunities, encouragement, and adults who believe in their ability to succeed.

As a native of the region, I understand the importance of strong schools and the powerful impact they have on students, families, and the entire community. My goal as principal is to build meaningful relationships, listen to the voices of our stakeholders, and work alongside our staff to create a school culture where students feel known, valued, and supported. At ECMS, our commitment is simple: high expectations with high support. We will challenge our students to grow academically, socially, and personally while ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to achieve success.

It guides how we learn, lead, and serve one another.
